Description

The Sisessa is a slim, round LED flush ceiling light: a low black drum with a white opal diffuser set inside its rim. It measures 16cm across and just 3.1cm deep, so it sits close to the ceiling and keeps headroom clear. The black body and the white shade are both plastic, which keeps the whole fitting to 0.16KG. The light source is integrated LED, giving 1,325 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, a soft, homely tone rather than a cool, clinical one. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors and in dry rooms only.

Because it is so shallow, this flush light suits rooms with lower ceilings, such as hallways, landings, walk-in wardrobes, studies and small bedrooms, anywhere a pendant would get in the way. At 16cm across it is compact enough for a narrow corridor, and a row of them lights a passage from end to end. The black finish gives a crisp, graphic outline against a white or pale ceiling and sits comfortably with black door handles, switches and picture frames. As an IP20 fitting it is not one for the bathroom or the garden, so keep it in the dry rooms of the house.

There is no switch on the light itself, as it is switched at the wall. It runs on mains power at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and as a light wired into the ceiling it is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download. The LEDs are integrated, so there is no bulb to change yourself, and should the LED ever need replacing, that is a job for a specialist. It carries energy class E. A wipe with a soft, dry cloth is all the plastic body and opal diffuser need to stay clean.
