Single Blanking Plate - Sky Blue

A blank plate does one quiet job: it closes off a position that is no longer in use and gives the wall a finished face instead of a gap. This one is a single gang plate moulded in polycarbonate with a sky blue finish, a clear mid blue rather than a washed out pastel, with a light sheen across the face. The screwless style means there are no screw heads showing on the front, so the eye reads a plain square of colour and nothing else. At 88mm across it lines up with the switch and socket plates already on the wall.

We keep this one for rooms where colour is part of the plan: nurseries, children's bedrooms, playrooms, a seaside themed spare room, or a studio and workshop where circuits are colour coded so anyone can read the wall at a glance. It suits anyone who has had a redundant switch position or an old television point taken out of service and wants the result to look deliberate rather than patched over. We would also use one to hold a position where a data point is planned for later, marked in a colour that is easy to pick out again. The moulding is tough and the colour runs through the plastic, so knocks and scuffs show far less than they would on a painted surface. Keeping it looking well asks almost nothing of you: a cloth barely dampened in warm water, then wiped dry. Solvents, kitchen sprays and abrasive creams will dull the sheen and are best kept off it altogether. It carries a ten year warranty.
