Ocean blue is a strong, sea-deep colour, and on a blank plate it does something quietly useful: it fills a gap in a wall of switches and sockets without pretending to be one. The face is square, 88mm across, flat and slim, with the screwless front giving a clean expanse of colour and no screw heads on show. Single gang, so it matches the footprint of a standard switch or socket position, which keeps a run of plates reading as one line along the wall.

We reach for these after a rewire or a kitchen refit, when a position has been taken out of service and the wall needs finishing off properly. They also earn their place in colour schemes: media walls, home offices, boot rooms and hallways where the blue is picked up by the switches nearby.
