Description

A blanking plate does quiet work: it closes off a single position and gives the wall a flat, unbroken face where a switch or socket once sat. This one is finished in bright teal, a clear, saturated blue-green that reads as a deliberate choice rather than a compromise, and the screwless style leaves the front clean, with nothing breaking up the face. At 88mm square it keeps to the familiar single-gang footprint. There is nothing to it beyond a tidy cover, which is exactly the point.

We reach for these during a kitchen or utility refit, where a position has been taken out of service and the alternative is a bare gap in the wall. They earn their keep in a hallway too, or behind a dresser, or in an alcove where an old point is no longer wanted but the wall still needs to look finished.
