Description

The Knightsbridge BATM6H is a 1790mm (6ft) 48W LED batten delivering 6700lm at 4000K cool white through an opal polycarbonate diffuser. The pressed steel housing includes a hinged gear tray that swings open for wiring access, rear and end conduit entry points, and standard 600mm fixing centres compatible with BESA boxes for retrofitting existing batten positions.

Designed for commercial, industrial and utility installations requiring continuous linear light, the batten suits workshops, warehouses, retail back-of-house areas, stairwells, and underground car parks. The modular design accepts optional plug-in modules including a microwave sensor (MODMWS) for presence detection or an emergency conversion kit (MODEMKIT) for maintained or non-maintained emergency lighting, allowing the same base fitting to serve multiple applications without changing the fixture.

The integrated LED light source delivers 153lm/W efficacy with an L70B50 rated lifespan of 100,000 hours, translating to approximately 11 years of continuous operation before the output degrades to 70% of initial lumens. The 120-degree beam angle provides wide lateral spread suitable for mounting heights between 2.5m and 4m. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations, and the fitting is Class I requiring an earth connection. Push-fit loop-in loop-out terminal blocks allow daisy-chaining multiple battens on a single circuit without additional junction boxes.
