The ceramic body sits on a dark wood plinth and is capped with a matching wood collar beneath a polycotton empire shade, measuring 360mm wide at the base and 250mm tall. A satin nickel finial completes the assembly at the top.

Designed for bedside tables, console tables and side table positions in traditional and transitional interiors, the lamp pairs decorative ceramic work with functional task lighting. The E27 socket accepts a standard Edison screw bulb up to 60W (sold separately), allowing users to choose between warm-white LED for reading or lower-wattage filament bulbs for softer ambient light. The 160mm-diameter base provides stability on most flat surfaces without dominating the table footprint.

The porcelain base combines a white crackle glaze background with silver-painted thistle and acanthus scroll motifs applied by hand, so individual lamps show slight variation in the density and placement of the pattern. What bulb does it take?

The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedside reading.

Is the porcelain pattern identical on every lamp?

No. The silver floral motif is hand-painted onto the white crackle glaze base, so individual lamps show slight variation in the density and placement of the scroll pattern. This is a feature of hand-decorated ceramic work, not a defect.

Can the shade be replaced?

Yes. The shade is a separate component that sits on the lamp harp beneath the finial. Replacement empire shades with a 190mm top diameter and 360mm bottom diameter will fit, allowing you to change the shade colour or fabric if needed.

How is the porcelain cleaned?

Wipe the ceramic body gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the porcelain or using household sprays that might damage the silver painted detail or the crackle glaze finish.
