Description

The Sigmund is a graphite-finished outdoor wall light with three integrated LED modules, each rotating up to 320° on its axis to direct light where it's needed. Built from die-cast aluminium with a powder-coated graphite finish, the fitting carries an IP65 rating against dust and water ingress, making it suitable for exterior walls fully exposed to UK weather.

Designed for entrance areas, garage fronts, porch walls and architectural accent lighting, the three independently rotating modules allow each beam to be aimed at different targets: one down onto a pathway, one across a driveway, one up onto architectural detail. The compact 210mm width and 35mm height profile sits close to the wall without projecting significantly into walkways or door swing zones. The 160mm projection accounts for the adjustable module depth when rotated.

The die-cast aluminium construction provides strength without excessive weight, and the graphite powder coating resists UV fade and corrosion over multiple seasons. The integrated LEDs are fixed within each module and cannot be replaced individually — the modules are sealed units designed to last the service life of the fitting. The low-profile modern design pairs with contemporary rendered facades, composite cladding and metal-framed glazing without competing visually with the architecture.

Frequently Asked

Can each LED module be aimed in a different direction?

Yes. Each of the three modules rotates independently up to 320° on its axis, allowing you to direct one module down onto a path, another across a driveway, and the third up onto a wall or architectural feature.

Is it suitable for coastal or exposed locations?

The IP65 rating protects against dust and water jets from any direction, making it suitable for most UK exterior applications including coastal areas. The powder-coated aluminium finish resists salt air corrosion better than painted steel alternatives.

Are the LEDs replaceable?

No. The LEDs are integrated sealed units within each module and cannot be individually replaced. The modules are designed to last the service life of the fitting, typically 25,000+ hours depending on usage pattern.

What wiring is required for installation?

The Sigmund requires a mains 230V supply run to the mounting point. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician in compliance with Part P Building Regulations and BS 7671 wiring standards.
