Description
The Maytoni Show is an 8cm-high outdoor wall light with an integrated 4W 3000K LED that casts two beams of light — one upward, one downward — from a graphite-finished aluminium box measuring 12cm long by 4cm deep. The dual-beam design creates a vertical light pattern on the wall surface, suitable for architectural accent lighting along facades, garden walls, and pathways.
Designed for external use with an IP54 rating, the Show resists dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for mounting on exterior walls, under eaves, along driveways, and on balconies or verandas exposed to UK weather. The compact footprint allows multiple units to be spaced 1-2m apart along a wall for continuous accent lighting without overwhelming the wall surface. The 3000K warm white output provides 200 lumens per fitting, enough to highlight architectural features or guide movement along a path without acting as primary area lighting.
The graphite finish is a mid-tone grey with a slightly textured surface that hides weathering better than polished or powder-coated blacks. The aluminium construction resists corrosion in coastal and damp environments. The LED is integrated and non-replaceable, rated at 4W on 100-240V AC mains, with a CRI of 80 providing reasonable colour accuracy for plants and exterior finishes. The fitting mounts directly onto a standard UK outdoor junction box or surface-mounted pattress.

Frequently Asked
Can the Show be used in fully exposed locations?
The IP54 rating means the fitting resists dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for walls under eaves, on balconies, and along garden paths. It is not rated for submersion or direct sustained hosing, so avoid mounting where it would receive high-pressure cleaning or be in the path of a sprinkler.
What spacing is recommended for multiple units?
For continuous accent lighting along a facade or boundary wall, spacing the Show units 1-2m apart creates overlapping vertical light patterns without gaps. For discrete architectural highlights, 2-3m spacing allows each fitting to define a separate feature.
Is the LED replaceable?
No. The LED is integrated and non-replaceable. The 4W LED is rated for long service life — typically 25,000+ hours — which represents approximately 10-15 years of use at 4-6 hours per evening.
Does it need an external junction box?
The Show mounts onto a standard UK outdoor junction box or surface-mounted pattress. Mains supply must be provided by a qualified electrician, and the junction box must carry an appropriate IP rating for the installation location.
