Description

The Share is a 14cm round recessed downlight with a matt gold reflector cone and a plaster-in installation system that allows it to sit flush with the ceiling surface. The aluminium body is designed to be set into a ceiling void and plastered or skimmed over, with only the reflector cone and aperture visible once installation is complete. It accepts a single GU10 bulb up to 20W (sold separately).

Designed for new-build and renovation projects where a clean ceiling surface is required, the plaster-in mounting means there is no visible trim ring or bezel around the fitting once the ceiling is finished. This suits contemporary interiors where minimal interruption to the ceiling plane is desired. The fixed beam angle directs light downward, making it suitable for general room lighting, hallway circulation, or accent lighting over furniture. The IP20 rating limits it to dry interior spaces only.

The matt gold finish on the reflector cone warms the quality of the light as it passes through, adding a subtle golden tint to the beam without significantly reducing output. Plaster-in installation means the downlight body is set into the ceiling void during first-fix, then the ceiling is plastered or skimmed over the edges of the fitting. Once the plasterwork is complete, only the reflector cone and aperture are visible — there is no trim ring or bezel. This requires access to the ceiling void during construction or renovation.

Can the beam angle be adjusted?

No, the Share is a fixed downlight. The beam direction is set when the fitting is installed and cannot be tilted or rotated afterwards. Choose positioning carefully during first-fix to ensure the light falls where needed.

What GU10 bulb should I use?

The fitting accepts any GU10 bulb up to 20W. Most users pair it with a 5-7W LED GU10 in warm white (2700K-3000K), which complements the matt gold reflector. The gold finish warms the light slightly, so cooler bulbs (4000K+) will appear less cool than they would in a white or chrome reflector.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. For bathrooms, specify downlights rated IP44 or higher depending on zone.
