Description

The Shannon is a 1.18m pillar lantern built from black polymer with a traditional coach lamp head housing a single E27 bulb fitting and clear polycarbonate panels. The post stands on a hexagonal base plate that fixes to existing paving, concrete or a dedicated pillar foundation, with the lamp head supported on a curved bracket at the top of the column.

Designed for driveways, front gate posts, garden path lighting and entrance pillars, the Shannon provides downward-directed light through the clear panels while the black polymer frame casts minimal shadow against walls or foliage. The IP44 rating protects against rain and airborne dust, making the fitting suitable for fully exposed UK coastal and inland locations. The polymer material resists UV degradation and salt corrosion better than painted metal equivalents.

The 250mm-wide lamp head proportions suit driveways between 3-5m wide when installed as a pair at the entrance, or as single-point lighting at gate posts on narrower paths. The hexagonal base plate measures approximately 200mm across flats and requires a concrete foundation or existing paving slab capable of supporting the 1.18m height in wind. The E27 fitting accepts standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W, sold separately.
