Description
This standing Highland cow figurine captures all the shaggy charm of the breed in a piece made to be looked at. It is cast in resin, sometimes called polystone, and sculpted with a long, tousled coat of warm ginger brown, a heavy fringe falling over the eyes, a soft pink nose and a tufted tail curling down behind. Wide, upswept horns, pale at the base and darkening towards the tips, frame the head, and dark hooves ground all four legs. It stands 36cm tall, 39cm wide and 16cm deep, a generous size that gives it real presence without taking over a surface.
At this height our Highland cow works as a focal piece in its own right. Stand it on a mantelpiece, a hall console or a kitchen dresser, or let it hold the end of a long sideboard where its horns have room to spread. Its gentle, slightly turned head and warm colouring sit naturally in country and farmhouse rooms, among wood, wool and stoneware, yet it brings as much character to a plain modern shelf. A single figure of this size reads clearly across a room, so it needs little else around it.
The figure stands on its own four hooves, so there is nothing to fix or hang, and the resin holds the fine detail of every strand of the coat. The painted finish layers deeper and lighter browns through the fur, which gives the sculpting its depth. To keep it looking its best, dust it with a soft dry cloth or a soft brush worked into the grooves of the coat, and wipe it with a slightly damp cloth, drying it afterwards. Place it where it will not be knocked, as the horns reach out beyond the body. It makes a characterful gift, and looks right at home beside a pile of tartan throws in the colder months.

Frequently Asked
How big is the Highland cow figurine?
It stands 36cm tall, 39cm wide and 16cm deep, so it needs a fair stretch of mantelpiece, shelf or sideboard.
What is the Highland cow made from?
It is made from resin, also called polystone, which holds the fine sculpted detail of the shaggy coat, the fringe and the long horns.
What colour is the figurine?
The coat is a warm ginger brown with deeper and lighter tones through the fur. The horns are pale at the base and darken towards the tips, and the hooves are dark.
Does it need fixing to a wall or hanging?
No. It is a freestanding figure that stands on its own four hooves, ready to place on a shelf, mantelpiece, hearth or sideboard.
How should I look after it?
Dust it with a soft dry cloth or a soft brush worked into the grooves of the coat. Wipe it with a slightly damp cloth if needed, then dry it afterwards.
Would it make a good gift?
Yes. Its shaggy coat and gentle face make it a characterful gift, and at 36cm tall it feels like a proper centrepiece rather than a small trinket.
