Description

This set of four wood and cork placemats brings a cheerful poinsettia and berry pattern to the table, printed in red and green on a pale ground. Between the bold red poinsettias sit little robins, pine branches with cones, sprigs of holly and scattered red berries, with soft blue snowflakes drifting through the design. Two of the mats have a green gingham border and two have a red gingham border, so you get two of each. Each mat is rectangular with gently rounded corners, an A4 size that measures 29cm long, 21.5cm wide and 0.4cm thick.

A set of four lays the table for four, and the two border colours let you alternate red and green from place to place or pair them up at each end. We like them on the dining table for festive meals, and they are just as at home on a kitchen or breakfast table through the winter months, when robins and holly suit the mood. At 0.4cm thick, the mats stack flat in a drawer or cupboard once the season is over, ready to come out again next winter.
