Description
The Serano is a single pendant light built around a 310mm vertical pillar of natural Spanish alabaster, suspended below a circular brushed brass disc canopy on a slim brass-finished cable. The 120mm diameter cylindrical shade has softly rounded edges and a single G9 lamp seated inside, so light passes through the stone itself rather than spilling from the base.
Suited to kitchen islands, breakfast bars and dining tables when hung in a row, or used singly above a bedside, console or stairwell, the Serano works in ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The cable drop is adjustable on installation, allowing the shade to sit 700-800mm above a worktop or 800mm above a dining surface. The compact 120mm diameter means several can be grouped along a 1.8-2.4m island without crowding.
Each alabaster cylinder is cut from natural stone, so the veining, mineral patterning and tonal shifts vary between pieces. When the G9 lamp is lit, these internal variations become more visible, giving the shade depth that a uniform glass diffuser cannot replicate. The solid copper internal structure carries the weight of the stone, while the brushed brass disc above provides a defined visual stop between the slim suspension cable and the pillar shade.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Serano take?
The pendant takes a single G9 capsule lamp, sold separately. A warm-white LED G9 between 3W and 5W at 2700K-3000K gives the most flattering glow through the alabaster, where the stone's veining and subtle colour shifts become visible.
Is each alabaster shade the same?
No. Each cylinder is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, marbling and tonal variation differ between individual shades. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and the differences become more apparent once the lamp is lit.
Can it be hung in a row over an island?
Yes. The 120mm shade diameter and slim brass cable suit multi-pendant installations above kitchen islands and dining tables. As a guide, allow 350-450mm between pendant centres on a 1.8-2.4m island, and hang each shade 700-800mm above the worktop.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble or glass. Wipe the shade with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household cleaners, polishes, sprays and damp cloths, as moisture and chemicals can mark or stain the stone permanently.
