Description

The Selvara is a 620mm twin-column wall light built around a pair of natural Spanish alabaster diffusers mounted on a matt black stainless steel backplate. The two slender alabaster columns sit side by side and run almost the full height of the fitting, with small black caps clamping each column at top and bottom. An integrated 16W 3000K LED runs behind the stone, lighting both columns from within.

At 620mm tall, 150mm wide and only 100mm deep, the Selvara is designed for hallways, stairwells, bedside walls, and either side of a bathroom mirror or dressing area where a vertical light source adds height without projecting far into the room. The shallow depth keeps it close to the wall in narrow corridors, and the symmetrical double-column form works well in pairs flanking a doorway, headboard, or large mirror.

Each alabaster column shows different mineral veining and tonal cloudiness depending on the section of stone it was cut from, so no two Selvara fittings light identically. The matt black backplate and end caps frame the warm glow of the stone in hard contrast, with the black metalwork reading as almost graphic against the softer, cloud-like surface of the alabaster. The fitting runs on 230V mains and is hard-wired to the wall.

Does it need a separate bulb?

No. The Selvara uses an integrated 16W LED that runs behind both alabaster columns, so there is no replaceable bulb. The LED outputs a warm 3000K colour temperature.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No IP rating is listed for this fitting, so it should be installed outside bathroom zones unless a specific IP rating is confirmed. It is well suited to hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and stairwells.

Can it be installed in pairs either side of a mirror or bed?

Yes. The slim 150mm width and 100mm depth make the Selvara well-suited to symmetrical pairing either side of a headboard, dressing mirror or hallway feature. Each fitting needs its own wall outlet point.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe the columns with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid water, sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, which can stain or dull the natural stone.
