Description

The Scarlette is a 300mm pendant light built around an opal white glass globe held inside two interlocking geometric cages of bent chrome rod. The globe sits at the centre where the two diamond-shaped frames cross, with a single E27 lamp socket inside the glass. The fitting suspends from a 1.5m clear cable, giving an adjustable drop on installation.

The pendant suits dining tables, kitchen islands, stairwells and entrance halls where a sculptural single-globe fixture works better than a flush ceiling fitting. The 300mm diameter keeps the footprint compact enough for smaller rooms, while the open cage construction means the pendant reads as light and airy rather than visually heavy. Hung over a dining table, the cages catch ambient light from above without blocking sightlines across the room.

The opal glass globe softens the E27 bulb output into a diffused glow, removing glare and giving an even light across the surface of the sphere. The chrome rod frames are hand-bent into two diamond shapes set at offset angles, so the silhouette shifts as you move around the fitting. At 30cm height by 30cm diameter, the proportions stay balanced from any viewing angle. The pendant takes a single E27 GLS filament or LED bulb up to 60W (sold separately).

What bulb does it take?

The Scarlette takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. An E27 GLS filament bulb suits the geometric cage style, though a standard warm-white LED in 2700K-3000K works equally well behind the opal glass.

Can the drop be shortened?

Yes. The pendant ships with a 1.5m clear suspension cable, which is adjusted to the required drop on installation. Most dining table installations sit the globe 700-800mm above the table surface.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself has no built-in driver, so dimming depends on the bulb fitted and the dimmer switch in use. Pair a dimmable E27 LED with a compatible LED dimmer for variable output.

Does the opal glass hide the bulb?

Yes. The opal white glass is fully diffusing, so the bulb filament or LED chip is not visible through the globe. The output reads as a soft, even glow rather than a point source.
