Description

The Saxon is a 2 light wall light built around a wrought iron frame with a matt black finish and decorative beaten metal panels between the two candle-style arms. Each arm holds a single E14 bulb (sold separately, maximum 60W per socket), positioned on turned wrought iron sconces that project 125mm from the wall.

Designed for hallways, dining rooms and staircases in period properties, the Saxon brings a medieval aesthetic through the hammered metal backplate and the turned detailing on the arms. The two upward-facing candle holders sit 255mm apart, creating ambient light that washes up the wall rather than directed downward. The wrought iron construction gives the fitting a solid 1.2kg weight without appearing visually heavy on the wall.

The beaten panels between the candle arms show hand-worked texture that catches light differently depending on the time of day. The black finish sits somewhere between matt and satin, softening harsh reflections while retaining enough sheen to emphasise the metalwork detail. The fixture mounts directly to a standard UK single-gang back box with fixings concealed behind the circular backplate.
