Description

The Saskia is a 72cm diameter crystal chandelier with six curved arms radiating from a central aged bronze frame, each supporting an E14 candle bulb holder. A band of clear glass rods runs around the outer edge of the circular frame, catching and reflecting light from the candle bulbs above. The frame itself is finished in aged bronze, a warm mid-tone metal finish with subtle brown and copper undertones.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Saskia hangs on a chain adjustable between 660mm and 1660mm drop, allowing the chandelier to be positioned between 700-900mm above a dining table or at eye level in a double-height hallway. The 72cm diameter suits rooms of 4m square or larger without dominating smaller spaces. The six arms are arranged symmetrically, giving balanced light distribution across a 3m radius when fitted with warm-white candle bulbs.

The aged bronze finish is applied over steel and sits tonally between polished brass and oil-rubbed bronze, pairing comfortably with wood furniture, terracotta, sage greens and warm neutral walls. The clear glass rods add a layer of decorative detail without the weight or formality of cut crystal droplets, making the Saskia more adaptable to transitional and country-house interiors than heavily ornamented chandeliers. The chandelier takes six E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W LED candle bulbs in 2700K warm white for a soft ambient glow. Flame-tip or clear filament bulbs work particularly well with the open candle-holder design.

Is the Saskia dimmable?
