Description

The Santo is a single-light crystal wall light built around a vertical polished chrome arm that rises from a compact circular backplate, supporting a tier of precision-cut crystal droplets beneath an upward-facing E14 candle bulb fitting. The chrome arm curves outward from the wall in a gentle bow, holding the crystal tier approximately 160mm from the surface, with the entire fitting standing 430mm tall and 100mm wide.

Designed for hallways, dining rooms, bedroom accent walls and either side of mirrors or artwork, the Santo works as decorative wall lighting where vertical proportions suit the space better than wide multi-arm sconces. The crystal droplets are arranged in horizontal bands around the chrome stem, refracting light from the upward-facing bulb and distributing it across the wall and ceiling. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient room light during the day, keeping the fitting visible as a decorative element even when unlit.

Each crystal is cut with multiple facets and suspended on a metal pin fixed into the chrome frame, allowing slight movement when air circulates in the room. The vertical arrangement of the crystals creates a ribbon-like cascade down the length of the arm, catching light at different angles depending on viewing position. At 0.7kg the fitting mounts directly onto a standard backplate fixing without additional structural support, and the 160mm projection keeps it clear of doorways and narrow circulation routes where wider wall lights would obstruct passage.

What bulb does the Santo take?

The Santo uses a single E14 small Edison screw candle bulb up to 60W, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W LED candle bulb in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient decorative lighting. The upward-facing fitting suits candle-shaped bulbs rather than golf ball or globe shapes.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with a dimmable E14 bulb and connected to a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself does not restrict dimming — compatibility depends on the bulb and dimmer combination chosen.

How is the crystal maintained?

The crystal droplets can be wiped gently with a dry microfibre cloth while the light is switched off and cool. For more thorough cleaning, individual crystals can be removed from their pins, cleaned with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water, dried completely, then replaced. Avoid household glass cleaners as residue can dull the facets over time.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Santo carries no IP rating and is designed for dry interior use only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or any space where moisture or steam is present.
