Description

The Sally is an 84mm square recessed downlight with an integrated 11W COB LED producing warm 3000K light through a white square trim. The die-cast aluminium housing carries an IP40 rating, protecting internal components from solid objects over 1mm and making it suitable for general interior installation in dry locations.

Designed for plasterboard and panel ceiling installation, the Sally fits flush with the ceiling plane so only the 84mm square trim remains visible once fitted. The recessed format works in residential living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and kitchens, as well as in commercial offices, retail and hospitality spaces where clean ceiling lines are required. The fixed downlight directs light straight down, providing functional illumination without accent or feature lighting capability.

The white powder-coated finish on the trim integrates with white or light-toned ceilings without visual interruption. The die-cast aluminium construction provides dimensional stability and heat dissipation for the internal LED, which is rated at 11W and delivers warm white light at 3000K. The non-dimmable driver operates on 230V mains and the integrated LED means there are no separate bulbs to replace.

Frequently Asked

Is the Sally dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver is non-dimmable. Connecting it to a dimmer switch may cause flickering or damage to the driver.

What cut-out size is required for installation?

The trim measures 84mm square. The exact cut-out dimension depends on the depth of the housing and any installation clips, but typically requires a ceiling void of at least 100mm depth. Consult the installation instructions or contact us for precise cut-out dimensions before cutting the ceiling.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry rooms only. The IP40 rating protects against solid objects but not water ingress. For bathrooms, use a downlight rated IP44 or higher.

What colour temperature is 3000K?

3000K is warm white, producing a soft yellowish-white light comparable to halogen bulbs. It creates a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere in living spaces, bedrooms and dining areas.
