Description

The Kichler Saldana is a single-light wall fitting with a double-layer shade structure: an outer organza fabric drum and an inner satin-etched opal glass cylinder. A brushed nickel backplate and arm support the shade assembly, which houses a single G9 bulb. The included 3W LED operates at 3000K warm white, with light passing through both the glass and fabric layers to create diffused ambient illumination.

Designed for hallways, bedroom alcoves, and bathrooms where soft accent lighting is preferred over bright task light, the Saldana measures 133mm wide by 165mm tall with a 146mm projection from the wall. The compact footprint suits narrower wall sections where larger sconces would overwhelm. The organza outer shade catches and diffuses light evenly, reducing glare while the satin-etched glass inner provides a secondary layer of diffusion.

The brushed nickel metalwork has a low-sheen satin finish that pairs with cooler-toned hardware and fixtures. Is the bulb replaceable?

Yes. The Saldana uses a standard G9 capsule bulb, included as a 3W LED 3000K. If the LED fails or you want to change the colour temperature, any G9 bulb rated up to 3W can be fitted as a replacement.

Can the organza shade be cleaned?

The organza outer shade can be dusted gently with a soft brush or dry microfibre cloth. Avoid wetting the fabric as moisture may cause watermarks or discolouration. For the inner glass cylinder, wipe with a damp cloth once the bulb has been removed and the fitting has cooled.

What colour is the metal finish?

The metal backplate and arm are finished in brushed nickel, which presents as a satin-finish mid-grey metallic tone. Despite the product tag reading "Silver", the actual finish visible in the image is brushed nickel rather than polished chrome or bright silver.

Is this suitable for bathroom installation?

The Saldana carries no stated IP rating in the specification, which means it is designed for dry indoor locations. For bathroom use, install it outside splash zones (Zone 0, 1, 2) where direct water contact is unlikely.
