Description

The Salcombe is a single ceiling pendant that puts natural texture on show, topping matt black metalwork with a woven natural seagrass drum shade. The seagrass filters the light into a soft, warm glow and reveals its own grain when lit, while the black fittings keep the outline neat. The drop adjusts up to 1200mm on a 90cm black cable, and the 350mm shade suits a single feature drop or a group over a longer surface.

It suits a kitchen island, dining table, hallway or bedroom with a coastal, boho or natural feel, sitting easily alongside rattan, linen and pale wood. The seagrass shade adds warmth and a handmade character without heaviness, and the matt black cable and fittings ground it against light walls. Hung as a set over an island, the woven shades bring texture and a relaxed, tactile look to the room, and at just 0.7kg each they are light drops you can space closely along a run.

The metalwork is matt black painted and the shade is woven natural seagrass, so slight variation in the weave is normal and part of the character. The fitting takes a single E27 bulb up to 10W in LED, is double insulated to Class 2, and is dimmable with a compatible dimmer. A warm lamp brings out the texture of the shade. Dust the shade with a soft brush and wipe the black fittings with a dry cloth, keeping it away from damp. A matching floor lamp and linear pendant in the same seagrass range complete the look.
