Description

The Saceda is a three light pendant in black and gold: a round black steel ceiling plate carries three slim cords, each ending in a wavy, hat-shaped shade. Outside, every shade is matt black; inside, it is gold, with a crumpled gold-leaf texture that catches the glow of the bulb. The pendant stands 150cm tall overall and measures 55cm in diameter, and it takes three E27 screw bulbs of up to 40W each, which are not included. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room.

The three shades hang at staggered heights, so the pendant reads as a loose cluster rather than a straight line, and each wavy brim tilts at its own angle. That makes it a natural choice over a dining table or a kitchen island, or as the centrepiece of a living room with space for its 150cm overall height. From across the room the shades look mostly black and graphic; from a chair at the table the gold inner faces come into view, warm and textured, so the best of the finish sits where people gather.
