Description

This ruby anniversary photo frame celebrates four decades together, with a clean white MDF border and a white mount ready for a favourite picture. Across the top of the mount runs a fine trail of silver foil flowers, while to the left the words RUBY ANNIVERSARY sit in rich red lettering above the handwritten-style line "40 wonderful years together". A small silver heart sits just beneath the words, and to the right an upright opening takes a single 6 x 4in photograph. The frame measures 28cm wide, 23cm high and 2.5cm deep, a size that sits comfortably on a shelf without crowding it.

As a 40th anniversary gift, it keeps a treasured picture and the milestone together in one place. It suits a mantelpiece, a sideboard, a bedside table or a hallway shelf, and the white, red and silver colouring sits easily in most rooms, from a bright living room to a quiet bedroom. The frame hangs on the wall as well as standing, so it can join a run of family pictures on a landing or in a hallway. Choose a wedding day picture, a recent portrait or a favourite holiday snap, and the printed words do the rest of the talking.

The border is made from MDF with a smooth white finish, and the foiled detail on the mount catches the light softly. On the back, a black backing board carries an easel strut for standing the frame on a flat surface, with a small hanger near the top edge for the wall. To care for it, dust the border with a soft dry cloth and keep it away from damp. For gifting, slip a favourite picture in before you wrap it, so it is ready to stand on a shelf the moment the paper comes off.
