Description

The Royal is a three-tier wall light built from vertical gold-finished metal fins arranged around clear faceted crystal rods. The fin arrangement, inspired by Art Deco skyscraper silhouettes, steps inward through three diminishing tiers with crystal rods hanging between each level. A single E14 candle bulb sits inside the upper tier, casting light across the polished gold fins and through the crystal to throw broken patterns of light across the surrounding wall.

The wall light suits hallways, stairwells, dining rooms and formal living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Mounted in pairs either side of a fireplace, console table or doorway, the Royal works as decorative accent lighting rather than primary illumination. The vertical tiered form gives it more visual height than a typical flush wall light, so it works well on tall walls or stairwell landings where a shorter fitting would look lost.

Three sizes are available: Small at 55cm high and 22cm wide, Medium at 60cm high and 25cm wide, and Large at 80cm high and 30cm wide. The polished gold finish on the metal fins gives a warm reflective surface that pairs with cream, ivory and deeper jewel-toned interiors, while the clear crystal rods read as colourless against any wall paint. The Royal takes one E14 small Edison screw candle bulb, sold separately. A 25-40W equivalent LED candle bulb in warm white (2700K-3000K) is recommended to bring out the warmth of the gold finish and the sparkle of the crystal rods.

Which size should I choose?

The Small (55cm x 22cm) suits standard hallways and bedside positions. The Medium (60cm x 25cm) works either side of a fireplace or console table in a living or dining room. The Large (80cm x 30cm) is intended for double-height entrance halls, stairwell landings or rooms with ceilings of 3m or above.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself has no integrated electronics, so dimming depends entirely on the bulb chosen and the dimmer switch installed. Pair a dimmable LED candle bulb with a compatible LED-rated dimmer for variable output.

How are the crystals cleaned?

Switch off the power and let any bulb cool. Dust the crystal rods with a soft microfibre cloth. For more thorough cleaning, wipe each rod with a barely-damp cloth using distilled water, then dry immediately. Avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the fitting and do not use abrasive products on the gold finish.
