Description

Eight integrated LED emitters sit around a slim circular frame that measures 44cm across, finished in light gold. The light is warm white, even and steady, so the ring reads as a soft halo rather than a bright point. There is no dimming, so an ordinary wall switch is all it asks for. This is an ambient fitting: it fills a room rather than picking out a work surface, and the frame stays the thing you notice.

We would hang it over a round or square dining table, where the shape echoes the top below and the drop can be set to keep sightlines clear across the table. It suits an entrance hall, a landing, or the centre of a bedroom ceiling equally well. The drop adjusts over a generous range, so it can be brought down low in a room with standard ceilings or let out in a taller, open space. Modern interiors are its natural home, though the plain circle is quiet enough to sit with older furniture without arguing with it.

The circle is slim and unbroken, and the light gold plating keeps a soft, low sheen rather than a bright polish. Switch it off at the wall and pass a dry microfibre cloth around the ring from time to time; sprays and solvents can mark plated finishes, so leave them in the cupboard. The LEDs are built in, so there is nothing to swap lamp by lamp. It carries a three year warranty.
