Description
The Ross-Emergency is a bulkhead wall light with the sturdy, practical character of a ship's fitting. An oval brass body holds a dome of ribbed, frosted glass, and a brass cage sits over the glass, fastened to the body with brass clips. The frosted glass softens the light, so it gives a gentle glow rather than glare. Its light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. The wall light measures 26cm tall and 19.5cm wide, and stands 15cm out from the wall. We offer it in Antique Brass, Antique Silver or Raw Brass.
This is an indoor wall light, and it suits the rooms you spend most time in: a living room, a dining room, either side of a bed, or a bathroom. It is rated IP54, so it is protected against splashing water and can go in a bathroom. The compact size works well on a narrow stretch of wall, and a pair looks good flanking a mirror, a fireplace or a sideboard. The brass and the caged glass bring an industrial, maritime feel that sits comfortably with painted panelling, tiles or exposed brick, and it looks just as at home in a period house as in a newer one.
The body and cage are brass, set around the frosted glass, and every light is made to order for you in Ireland. Choose Antique Brass, Antique Silver or Raw Brass to sit with the other metals in the room. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. One practical point before you order: this is a mains fitting, so it needs to be wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician.
