The Rosa Del Desierto is a 1.7m floor lamp built around two curved antique brass arms that cross near the base and rise to hold a pair of frosted-clear floral glass shades at the top. Each shade features a frosted centre panel with clear outer edges, casting soft diffused light through the frosted areas while allowing direct light through the transparent sections. The lamp takes two G9 bulbs (sold separately), with the bulbs sitting inside the glass shades.

Designed for living rooms, formal seating areas and corners that need ambient rather than task lighting, the lamp provides upward and outward light distribution from a 300mm diameter footprint. The crossed brass arms give the lamp structural stability without needing a heavy weighted base, though at 8.7kg the lamp has enough mass to sit securely on most floor surfaces. The antique brass finish shows a muted, aged patina that works in traditional, classical and warm-toned interiors.

The floral detailing on the glass shades is moulded into the glass itself, creating texture that catches light when the lamp is lit and adds visual interest when off. The frosted-clear combination means the lamp provides gentle ambient light rather than harsh direct glare, making it suitable for positions near seating where direct sightlines to the bulb would otherwise be uncomfortable. The lamp is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.

The lamp takes two G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. G9 bulbs are available in halogen and LED versions. LED is recommended for lower running costs and cooler operation. Check that any LED G9 you choose is marked as dimmable if you intend to use a dimmer switch.

How is the glass cleaned?

Switch off and allow the lamp to cool fully before cleaning. Wipe the glass shades with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or smudges, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, then dry immediately. Avoid household glass cleaners on the frosted sections as they can leave streaks in the textured surface.
