Description

The Roccanova-L is a slim solar LED floor lamp in Dark Sage, a muted green that sits quietly against brick, timber and planting. A drum-shaped head with a solar panel set into its top rests on a thin steel stem, which rises from a round disc base. It stands 120cm tall, its head measures 13.5cm in diameter and its base 20cm, so it needs very little floor space. The integrated LED draws 2.8W and gives 270 lumens at 3000K, a warm light. It is rated IP44, protected from splashing water, so it can stay outdoors in the garden or on a terrace.

Set it beside a garden bench, at the edge of a patio, next to an outdoor dining table or by the back door, wherever you would like a little light after dark. The panel charges from daylight, and as general guidance it does best in an open, sunny spot where it sees plenty of sky. The small head and narrow stem suit the corner of a balcony as well as a wide terrace, and the warm 3000K light gives a gentle glow for evenings outside rather than a hard floodlit glare. It is an easy way to bring light to parts of the garden that no wall light reaches.

The body is steel in dark sage, and the head is a pastel dark green, close enough that the lamp reads as one colour. The light is worked by a touch control, and a Li-ion battery of 1800mAh stores the charge the panel gathers during the day. The lamp also has a USB port. Packed, it weighs 2.083KG, so it is easy to lift and move to a new spot as the seasons change and the sun moves. The installation instructions come as a download.
