Rivano Ribbed Travertine Pendant Light - Light Beige & Walnut

The Rivano is a small ribbed pendant light built around a 120mm diameter drum carved from natural light beige travertine, capped with a walnut-brown wooden top and suspended from a fabric-braided cord. A series of horizontal ribs wraps around the stone, giving the cylinder a corrugated profile that catches light along each ridge. The fitting takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately) and measures 160mm tall.

At 120mm wide, the Rivano sits at the compact end of the pendant range and works well in clusters of three or five over a kitchen island, in a single row above a breakfast bar, or used singly above a bedside table or hallway console. Light projects from the open base of the drum, casting a directed downward pool while the ribbed travertine softly diffuses warmth from any spill light through its porous surface.

Travertine is a natural sedimentary stone, so each shade shows different mineral pitting, tonal variation and pore structure. The matt, untreated surface keeps the raw character of the material visible rather than polishing it out. The walnut-brown wooden cap provides a warm tonal break between the pale stone and the cord, and the slim profile of the cap keeps visual weight focused on the textured drum below.

What bulb does it take?

The Rivano takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Given the small 120mm shade and downward-throw design, a 6-8W warm-white LED at 2700K-3000K usually suits dining and kitchen settings best.

Does each travertine shade look the same?

No. Travertine is a natural stone, so each shade shows its own mineral pitting, pores and tonal variation across the light beige surface. These are characteristic of the material rather than defects, and they become more visible when the pendant is lit.

Can it be hung in a cluster over a kitchen island?

Yes. At 120mm wide and 160mm tall, the Rivano is well-sized for cluster arrangements. Three pendants spaced 300-400mm apart suit a typical 1.5-2m island, with the bases sitting roughly 700-800mm above the worktop.

How is the travertine cleaned?

Wipe gently with a dry, soft cloth or a soft brush to lift dust from the ribbed grooves. Travertine is porous, so avoid wet cloths, sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, which can mark or seal the natural surface.
