Description

The Ring is a 155cm brass column floor lamp with a 25cm frosted glass globe at the head and an E27 bulb fitting. The slender brass rod rises from a circular weighted base, threading the globe in place at the top without visible hardware. A matte frosted glass diffuses light evenly in all directions, turning a single E27 bulb into ambient room lighting.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and home offices where ambient light is needed without occupying floor space, the Ring's 25cm base diameter gives stability while leaving room to position the lamp close to seating or beside a bed. The frosted globe sits 130cm above floor level when fitted, placing the light source above typical chair-back height to reduce direct glare. The inline foot switch on the cable sits 25-30cm from the base.

The brass finish on the metal frame is a warm mid-tone that pairs with both traditional warm interiors and cooler greys without reading as antique or overly modern. The Ring accepts any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 60W (sold separately), allowing control over colour temperature and brightness to suit the room. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor areas only.

The Ring takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient living room or bedroom lighting.

Is the glass globe removable?

Yes. The frosted glass globe lifts off the brass rod to allow bulb replacement. The globe threads onto the rod and is held in place by gravity and a top cap detail.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts the Ring to dry indoor areas only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any area where moisture or splashing is present.

How stable is the base on carpet?

The weighted 25cm circular base provides stability on short-pile carpet and bare floors. On thick or shag carpet the lamp may benefit from being positioned where furniture or other objects provide additional stability against accidental knocks.
