Description

The Rim is a 26cm diameter round metal canopy finished in brass, designed to cluster up to three pendant lights from a single ceiling point. The canopy sits 2mm above the ceiling rose, with three exit points spaced evenly around the plate for pendant cables to drop from. Each exit point accepts standard UK pendant cable and can be positioned to create symmetrical or asymmetrical cluster arrangements depending on the room layout.

Designed for dining areas, kitchen islands and living rooms where multiple pendants are needed from a single ceiling rose, the Rim provides a cleaner alternative to installing three separate ceiling fixings. The 26cm diameter plate covers the ceiling rose completely while remaining proportional to the cluster below — large enough to look intentional but not so large it dominates the ceiling plane. The brass finish pairs well with brass, gold or copper pendant fittings and provides a warm metallic accent against white or neutral ceilings.

The metal construction provides structural support for three pendant lights totalling up to the weight limit specified in the manual (see Downloads tab). The canopy is designed to be fitted by a qualified electrician, who routes the three pendant cables through the exit points and terminates them at the ceiling rose behind the plate. Once installed, the canopy becomes part of the ceiling architecture rather than a visible component, allowing the pendant lights themselves to take visual priority.

Product Manual

Frequently Asked

How many pendant lights can this canopy support?

The Rim accommodates up to three pendant lights. Each pendant cable routes through one of the three exit points on the canopy plate. Check the product manual for the maximum combined weight limit.

Does this require an electrician to fit?

Yes. The canopy must be installed by a qualified electrician who will route the pendant cables through the exit points and terminate them at the ceiling rose behind the plate. This is not a DIY-fit component.

Can I use pendants with different cable lengths?

Yes. The canopy accommodates pendants with different drop lengths, allowing you to create staggered or asymmetrical cluster arrangements. The exit points are fixed, so the spacing between pendants at ceiling level remains constant.

What ceiling rose does it cover?

The 26cm diameter plate covers standard UK ceiling roses completely. The canopy sits approximately 2mm proud of the ceiling surface once fitted, with the plate concealing the rose and wiring behind.
