Description

Our ribbed taper candles bring a soft, understated warmth to the table. Each candle is formed from smooth wax and finished with a fine vertical ribbing that runs the length of the slender pillar, catching the light in gentle lines as the flame flickers. The beige tone is warm and neutral, sitting easily against wood, linen and painted surfaces without drawing focus from the rest of your setting. Standing 24cm tall with a slim 2cm base, these tapers are made to slot into standard candlesticks and holders.

These candles suit the dining table, the mantelpiece, a windowsill or a dresser, and they work as well in pairs as they do grouped in odd numbers for a fuller display. The ribbed finish gives a little texture to an otherwise plain candle, so a single taper in a simple brass or ceramic holder reads as considered rather than fussy. For a relaxed supper, pair them with stoneware and foliage; for something more formal, line several along the centre of the table in matching holders. The neutral beige colour means they carry through the seasons without looking out of place.
