Description

The Renoir is a 36cm bronze picture light with a ribbed cylindrical body mounted on an adjustable bracket and ornate circular backplate. The bracket uses a mechanical hinge that allows the ribbed tube to be angled towards the wall or tilted outward, directing the E14 bulb's output onto the surface below — typically a framed picture, mirror, or decorative panel.

Designed for residential picture lighting, the Renoir suits traditional and classical interiors where framed artwork, oil paintings, family portraits or gilded mirrors benefit from dedicated accent lighting. The 36cm width covers artwork up to approximately 60-80cm wide without the light source extending beyond the frame edges. The bronze finish pairs well with warm wood frames, gold leaf detailing and period furniture, and the embossed backplate adds period-appropriate decorative detail to the wall above the artwork.

The metal construction and ribbed body give the fitting a solid 1.2kg presence that mounts securely to plasterboard or masonry walls using the concealed fixings behind the backplate. The adjustable hinge allows the angle to be set during installation and adjusted later if the artwork is swapped or repositioned. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations — living rooms, hallways, galleries and bedrooms — where moisture is not present.

The Renoir takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb up to 25W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair it with a warm-white LED candle bulb between 3-5W and 2700K for artwork lighting that doesn't overpower the piece.

Can the angle be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The mechanical hinge on the bracket allows the ribbed tube to be tilted towards or away from the wall, redirecting the light onto the artwork surface. This can be adjusted after installation without removing the fitting.
