Description

The Reif is a 68mm recessed downlight with a white aluminium exterior and a gold-toned reflective interior, designed to fit a GU10 bulb up to 12W (sold separately). The white bezel sits flush with the ceiling surface when installed, while the gold interior reflects and diffuses light into the room with a warmer tone than a standard white reflector.

Designed for residential ceilings with recessed mounting capability, the Reif suits living rooms, hallways, kitchens and bedrooms where fixed directional lighting is needed without adjustable tilt or rotation. The 68mm diameter fits standard UK downlight cut-outs and the 54mm installation depth requires ceiling voids of at least 60mm. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments only — bathrooms and outdoor installations require higher IP ratings.

The aluminium construction dissipates heat from the GU10 bulb into the ceiling void, extending bulb life compared to enclosed or poorly-vented downlight housings. The white finish pairs with most ceiling colours and the gold interior adds a subtle warm accent visible when the light is off, differentiating the fitting from standard white-on-white downlights. Spring-clip fixings hold the downlight in place once pushed into the ceiling aperture.
