Description

Made from clear glass with a mirrored silver crown across its upper half, our Reflective Idea E27 Bulb is a decorative LED made to be seen as much as switched on. The mirrored cap catches and bounces light back down, while the clear lower globe lets the filament arrangement show through. At 8cm in diameter and 11.8cm tall, this is a rounded G80 shape that sits well in an open fitting where the bulb itself is on display. It weighs only 90g, so it suits a pendant flex, a table lamp base or a wall bracket without adding noticeable load.

We chose a warm colour temperature of 2700K here, which gives a soft, amber-leaning glow rather than anything cold or clinical. It puts out 700 lumen from a 7W LED, working out at 114 lumen per watt, so we get a genuinely bright bulb from a small draw on the meter. The CRI of 82 keeps colours in the room looking natural under the light. Please note this bulb is not dimmable, so we recommend pairing it with a standard switch rather than a dimmer circuit. It runs on 220 to 240V at 50 Hz through a familiar E27 screw fitting, and carries a rated life of 15000 hours, which is a long stretch before you need to think about a replacement.

The mirrored crown means this one works nicely where the bulb hangs bare and the top of the globe is what you see first, above a dining table or in a cluster of exposed fittings.
