Description

The Radity surface power feed is a hard-wired 48V DC power connector for Maytoni's magnetic track lighting system, housed in a black plastic casing measuring 145mm long, 25mm wide and 51mm high. The unit mounts directly onto plasterboard, timber or masonry ceilings and feeds low-voltage power into the magnetic track rail, eliminating the need for ceiling-recessed transformers or junction boxes in the track run itself.

Designed for both residential and light commercial installations where magnetic track lighting is specified, the surface feed allows the track system to start or terminate at any point on the ceiling without requiring access to ceiling voids. The 48V DC input connects to a remote driver (sold separately) via the red and black flying leads that exit the rear of the housing. Once the track rail clicks magnetically onto the top of the power feed, the connection is complete and track-mounted spotlights can draw power along the full run.

The black thermoplastic housing resists UV degradation and provides IP20-rated protection for the internal contacts. The compact 145mm footprint and low 51mm projection suit installations where ceiling height is limited or where a discreet power entry point is preferred over bulkier in-line transformers. The unit carries a 2-year warranty and is compatible with all Maytoni Radity magnetic track components in the same finish.

Frequently Asked

What transformer or driver is required?

The power feed requires a separate 48V DC constant-voltage LED driver, sized according to the total wattage of spotlights mounted on the track. The driver connects to mains 230V AC on the input side and feeds the power feed via the red and black flying leads on the output side. Maytoni and compatible third-party drivers are available separately.

Can this be used with any magnetic track system?

The Radity power feed is designed specifically for Maytoni's Radity magnetic track components. While the 48V DC standard is common across many magnetic track systems, physical dimensions and magnetic pole configurations vary between manufacturers, so compatibility with non-Maytoni track is not guaranteed.

How is it fixed to the ceiling?

The power feed surface-mounts using screws or fixings appropriate to the ceiling substrate (plasterboard, timber, concrete). Once secured, the magnetic track rail clips directly onto the top of the unit, completing both the physical and electrical connection.

What's the maximum track length this can power?

The maximum track length depends on the total wattage of the spotlights fitted to the track and the capacity of the LED driver feeding the power unit. A typical 60W driver can support 4-6 low-wattage LED track spotlights along a 2-3m track run.
