Description
The Radiara LED driver is a compact white constant current power supply with built-in dimming: a slim rectangular box with a screw-fixed cover over the connections at each end. It runs from a 220-240V AC mains supply at 50 or 60Hz and delivers a steady 300mA constant current, with a maximum output of 12W. Those two figures settle the choice, because it is built for an LED source that calls for 300mA constant current and draws no more than 12W. It measures 132mm long, 30mm wide and 20mm high, and you receive the driver on its own.
It suits two kinds of dimmable LED project. DALI is a digital lighting control standard, so this driver can join a scheme in which lights are dimmed and grouped from a central controller. Push dimming works from a momentary push-button switch, a simple way to dim LED light where a full control system would be more than the room needs. Because one driver offers both routes, the method of control can be settled at the planning stage rather than dictated by the part.
The white housing is slim and weighs just 0.08KG. It is rated to operate in temperatures from 0°C to 40°C, so it belongs in a spot that stays within those limits through the year. Before ordering, check that your LED source calls for a 300mA constant current supply and draws no more than 12W, since a constant current driver has to match its load. As a mains product, it is installed by a qualified electrician.

Frequently Asked
What dimming does this LED driver support?
It supports DALI dimming, the digital lighting control standard, and Push dimming from a momentary push-button switch, both built into the one unit.
What output does the driver give?
It delivers a 300mA constant current with a maximum output of 12W, so it suits an LED source rated for 300mA that draws no more than 12W.
What mains supply does it need?
It runs from a 220-240V AC mains supply at either 50 or 60Hz, which is the input range the record gives for this driver.
How big is the driver?
It measures 132mm long, 30mm wide and 20mm high, and it weighs 0.08KG, so it takes up very little space.
What is its operating temperature range?
It is rated to operate between 0°C and 40°C, so it should be placed somewhere that stays within those limits all year round.
