Radiancea E27 Lamp Holder - Matt Black

The Radiancea is a matt black E27 lamp holder built around a 40mm diameter cylindrical metal shade with a ribbed bakelite ceiling grip. The holder accepts any standard E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately), making it compatible with LED, filament and decorative bulbs depending on the light quality and temperature you want. The open-bottom design directs light downward, with the shade preventing upward glare.

Designed for use on pendant cables in kitchens, dining rooms, hallways and living areas, the Radiancea works as a single pendant over a small dining table or in clusters of 3-5 fittings above a kitchen island or breakfast bar. The compact 40mm diameter and exposed bulb position suit drop heights of 600-1200mm above a worktop or table surface, depending on bulb size and filament style. The black finish pairs with both industrial and contemporary interiors without adding visual weight.

The matt black powder-coated metal shade absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, keeping the focus on the bulb itself. When paired with an exposed filament bulb, the holder becomes part of the decorative effect rather than a functional background element. The ribbed ceiling grip houses the E27 socket and cable entry point, giving a mechanical detail that references early 20th-century industrial fittings without attempting to replicate them.

The Radiancea carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulb used — LED bulbs require a compatible LED dimmer, filament bulbs work with standard resistive dimmers.

What bulb does it take?

The Radiancea takes any standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with exposed filament LED bulbs in warm white (2200K-2700K) to create a decorative effect, or with standard LED bulbs for functional task lighting.

Is it dimmable?

The lamp holder itself is dimmable, but compatibility depends on the bulb you use. LED bulbs require a compatible LED dimmer, while traditional filament bulbs work with standard resistive dimmers.

Can it be used in clusters?

Yes. The compact 40mm diameter makes the Radiancea well-suited to clustered installations. Groups of 3-5 holders at staggered drop heights work well above kitchen islands or dining tables. Ensure pendant cables are spaced at least 150-200mm apart to avoid visual crowding.

What cable length is included?

The Radiancea is a lamp holder only — it does not include pendant cable or ceiling rose. You will need to supply your own pendant cable, ceiling rose and cable grip to install this fitting.
