Description

The Queen is a 255mm crystal flush ceiling light built around a hemispherical frame of gold-finished metal rings, each holding faceted crystal octagons that refract light across their cut surfaces. The fitting houses three G9 bulbs (sold separately) behind the crystal array and can be mounted directly to a ceiling or used as a wall light.

Designed for low-ceiling rooms where a pendant would hang too low — hallways, bedrooms and landings with 2.1-2.4m ceilings — the Queen provides ambient decorative light without requiring ceiling clearance. The 255mm diameter makes it suitable for smaller rooms and alcoves where a larger flush fitting would dominate the ceiling plane. The gold finish and crystal combination suits traditional, classical and warm-toned contemporary interiors.

The metal frame is finished in a warm gold tone that catches daylight and artificial light differently throughout the day. Each crystal octagon is faceted to break incoming light into small flashes across surrounding walls, creating a layered effect when the fitting is illuminated. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, such as bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and dining rooms.

Frequently Asked

What bulbs does the Queen take?

The Queen takes three G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs in the 3-5W range and 2700K-3000K warm white for ambient lighting in bedrooms and hallways.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, the Queen is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulb and dimmer model used.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The Queen carries an IP20 rating, which means it is not protected against moisture ingress.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The Queen is designed as a flush ceiling light for low-ceiling rooms, typically 2.1-2.4m high. The shallow projection from the ceiling makes it a good choice for bedrooms, hallways and landings where a pendant would hang too low.
