Description
Quartz is a vintage wool rug in our Blue / Multi colourway, made from 100% wool. Its traditional design sets a central medallion inside layered borders of small geometric motifs, softened by a faded, sun-washed finish. Warm beige and gold carry most of the ground, with soft blue through the medallion and touches of rust red between. Machine woven as a flat weave, it lies smooth underfoot rather than offering a raised pile, and the wool gives it a natural feel.
It is most at home in a living room, suiting a traditional or vintage scheme, though its faded colouring is gentle enough for a plainer, modern room too. We sell it in three sizes: 120 by 170cm for a smaller sitting room or in front of an armchair, 160 by 235cm in front of a sofa, and 200 by 285cm to sit beneath the front feet of a sofa and chairs, pulling a seating area together.
Being pure wool, it suits anyone who prefers a natural fibre underfoot. It is hard wearing, so it copes with the daily traffic of a busy living room, and as a flat weave it has no tall tufting to crush beneath furniture. Before choosing a size, measure the floor and leave a margin of bare floor around the edge so the border design reads clearly.
