The QTX VL1 is a VHF wireless microphone system built around a lavalier tie-clip mic, a beltpack transmitter, and a half-width 1U receiver. It operates on 174.5MHz and runs license-free in the UK, so you can set it up and use it without any paperwork or additional permissions. The lavalier microphone (also called a lapel mic or clip-on mic) is small enough to sit discreetly on clothing, which makes it a practical choice for presentations, worship venues, lectures, and general speech work where you need your hands free.

You get up to 50m of range between the transmitter and receiver, which covers most rooms and stages comfortably. The receiver connects to your mixer or amplifier through both a balanced XLR output and a 6.3mm jack, giving you flexibility depending on the gear you already own. Sound quality is backed by a signal-to-noise ratio of greater than 85dB and total harmonic distortion below 0.2%, so voices come through clearly without unwanted hiss or interference.
