Description

The QTX U-MIC is a compact UHF wireless microphone set built around a handheld transmitter and a small USB receiver. The receiver plugs straight into a USB power supply or USB port for power, then outputs audio through a 3.5mm mono jack socket. There is no free-standing or rack-mounted receiver to deal with, which keeps the whole set-up quick and tidy for presentations, conferences and vocal performers.

The receiver includes a plug-through USB connection, so the port you use for power stays available for a flash drive or other USB device, such as a USB media player. We include a 3.5mm to 6.3mm (quarter-inch) jack lead so you can connect to mixers and amplifiers that use the larger socket. The handheld transmitter runs on 2 x AA batteries and works on one of two UK/EU licence-free UHF frequencies, giving you a wireless range of up to 50m.

The dynamic cardioid capsule handles vocals with a frequency response of 50Hz to 15kHz, and the cardioid pattern helps reject sound from behind the microphone. The transmitter measures 240 x 50mm and weighs 178g without batteries, while the receiver is 80 x 23 x 13mm and just 17g, so it stays out of the way. This is a cost-effective, easy-to-use set for anyone who needs reliable wireless audio without extra hardware or mains-powered receivers.

Can I still use the USB port for other things?

Yes. The receiver has a plug-through USB connection, so the port stays available for a flash drive, USB media player or another USB device while the receiver draws power.

How does the transmitter connect to a mixer or amp?

The receiver outputs through a 3.5mm mono jack. We include a 3.5mm to 6.3mm (quarter-inch) jack lead so you can connect to equipment using the larger socket.
