Description

The QTX SG350 is a long shotgun microphone (or shotgun mic) built for directional recording on camera and beyond. It picks up sound from the front while rejecting noise from the sides, which makes it a practical choice for video, interviews and location work where you want to focus on a single source. The narrow pickup pattern helps keep unwanted room and background sound out of your recordings.

A three-way switch on the body lets you choose off, cardioid or hypercardioid. Cardioid gives you a wider front-facing pattern, while hypercardioid tightens the focus for more distant or isolated subjects. Power comes from a single 1.5V AA battery held in a compartment inside the microphone body, so you do not need external phantom power to get up and running. The integral XLRM connector handles the output, and the frequency response runs from 50Hz to 18kHz.

We supply the SG350 with everything you need to fit it straight onto a camera. It comes with a hot-shoe camera mount, a lead, a clip and a foam windshield to cut down wind noise and handling sounds outdoors. Sensitivity is rated at -40dB (±2dB) with an output impedance of 230 Ohms, giving you a clear signal for both indoor and outdoor shooting.
