Description

This QTX adaptor box lets you send DMX lighting control down standard network cable. Used as a matched pair, the system carries up to four channels of DMX over a single shielded CAT5, CAT6 or CAT7 cable, so you can run one cable between two points instead of multiple DMX lines. It suits both fixed installs and live setups where you need a tidy, dependable way to move signal around a rig.

Each unit is built into a rugged steel enclosure with multiple fixing points, so you can mount it in the position that works for your space. The XLR connectors (also called XLR sockets in some regions) are clearly numbered, which makes it easy to keep track of your channels when you are wiring up or troubleshooting. An etherCON-style locking RJ45 connector holds the network cable firmly in place, helping to prevent accidental disconnection during a show or a busy install.

This is the male version of the adaptor, so pair it with the matching partner to complete the run. Note that it is designed for use with CAT5, CAT6 or CAT7 network cable only. The steel housing measures 50mm x 53mm x 180mm and weighs 0.44kg, giving you a compact unit that fits neatly into most cable paths. It is a straightforward, practical choice for anyone who wants to carry DMX over network cable with locking connections at both ends.
