Description

The QTX QXW6 is a 6.5" high-power woofer built around a reinforced aramid fibre cone. Aramid is a tough, lightweight fibre that keeps the cone stiff under load, which helps the driver hold its shape when you push it hard. That means it can cope with power peaks while still giving a smooth, controlled sound, so it suits both PA duties and home Hi-Fi builds.

Behind the cone you get a vented magnet and a heat-resistant 4 layer voice coil. The venting helps move air away from the coil to keep temperatures down during long sessions, and the 4 layer coil design gives the driver more drive and better power handling. A rubber surround supports the cone through its full travel and stands up to age and use better than foam.

The woofer sits in a black metal chassis for a solid, stable mount, and it connects using spade terminals (sometimes called blade or quick-connect terminals). Rated at 8 ohms impedance, it drops into most standard amplifier and enclosure setups without any fuss.
