Description

The QTX QX12A is an active PA speaker built into a moulded ABS cabinet. It has a built-in amplifier with a mixer section, so you can plug your sources straight in and drive the speaker without a separate amp or mixing desk. The cabinet is lightweight and ported, with an integral carry handle to make it easier to move between jobs.

Inside you get a titanium compression driver working through a constant directivity horn, giving a dispersion of 90 degrees horizontal by 60 degrees vertical. The mixer section takes mic and line inputs, each with its own volume control, plus tone controls so you can shape the sound to the room. The amplifier is designed to deliver high output and develop high sound pressure levels (SPLs).

The QX12A runs from a 230Vac 50Hz IEC mains supply, with a nominal impedance of 4 Ohms. Measured figures include a THD of 0.1% and a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 87dB. A 35mm internal top hat lets you mount the cabinet on a standard speaker pole (stand). It suits mobile setups, small venues, presentations and background music where you want a self-contained active speaker that is quick to set up and pack away.
