Description

The QTX QR8PA is a compact portable PA unit built around the QR speaker cabinet, with a built-in amplifier that runs from the mains or an internal rechargeable battery. That battery gives you up to 8 hours of use, so you can take it to places without a nearby power point. Inside the cabinet you'll find a main driver paired with a compression-driven horn, giving you clear vocals and music across a range of settings such as classrooms, meetings, small events and mobile announcements.

Sound sources are handled at the rear mixer/amp section. One UHF handheld wireless microphone (called a radio mic in the UK) is included, with the receiver built in. There are also two wired mic inputs on 6.3mm jack, a line input on L+R RCA and an AUX input on 3.5mm stereo jack. The integral USB/SD/FM media player has a record function and comes with a remote, and a Bluetooth receiver lets you pair a smartphone or tablet for wireless playback. TWS pairing links two QRPA units together as a Bluetooth stereo pair.

Extra controls include an echo effect for the microphones and a switchable VCV 'mic override', which lowers music automatically when you speak. Front-panel controls cover mic and guitar input, second mic, echo, bass, treble, master volume, UHF mic volume and VCV. For moving it around, there's a retractable trolley handle and rear wheels, plus an integral 35mm pole mount if you'd rather stand it up. Optional UHF neckband microphones are available (178.895UK and 178.896UK) if you need hands-free use.
