Description

This is the 15" replacement driver for the QTX QR15 passive cabinet. If the main driver in your QR15 has failed or worn out, this chassis speaker (also called a woofer or cone driver) drops in as a like-for-like part, so you can keep your existing cabinet in service rather than replacing the whole unit.

The driver runs at 8 ohms and uses vented magnets to help keep the voice coil cool during longer sessions. Connection is via spade terminals, which push straight onto the internal wiring for a quick fit. It forms part of our wider range of QR passive replacement drivers, each matched to a specific cabinet in the series, so it pays to check your model number before ordering.

Fitting is a straightforward job for anyone comfortable working inside a speaker cabinet. Remove the old driver, transfer the wiring to the new spade terminals and secure the chassis in place. As this is designed as a direct replacement for the QR15, the mounting and size match the original, so no modification to the enclosure is needed. Always disconnect the amplifier before you start and take care not to touch the exposed cone.
