Description

This is the replacement main driver for the QTX QR15A active cabinet, part of our range of chassis speakers made to keep your QR series speakers running. It's a 15" driver rated at 4 ohms, built to slot straight into the spot the original occupied so you can bring a tired or failed cabinet back to working order.

The driver uses vented magnets, which help keep the voice coil cooler during longer sessions and steadier levels. Connection is made through spade terminals, a common fitting on chassis speakers (also called drive units) that lets you attach the internal wiring without soldering. That makes the swap quicker if you're comfortable opening the cabinet and working with the existing loom.

We supply this driver as a direct match for the QR series active cabinets, so the fit and rating line up with what QTX specified. If you've had a blown cone or a dead unit and the rest of the cabinet is sound, replacing just the driver is a sensible way to save the speaker rather than buying a whole new box.
