Description

The QTX QOVA-12PA is a self-contained portable PA system built for vocalists and performers who need to work away from mains power. It uses a ported ovoid-shaped moulded cabinet with an inbuilt trolley assembly and pull-out handle, plus a 35mm socket so you can pole-mount it onto a speaker stand when you need more height. You can run it from the mains, an external 12-15Vdc supply or the internal battery, which gives up to 8 hours of playback between charges.

Sound comes from a 300mm (12") low frequency main driver paired with a 25mm (1") Titanium compression driver tweeter, driven by a class-D bi-amplifier with an active crossover. Amplifier output is rated at 50W + 50W with 200W RMS power handling, a frequency response of 48Hz to 20kHz and 100dB SPL at 1W/1m. A dual UHF handheld microphone system is supplied, working on selectable 863-865MHz or 823-832MHz frequencies, and two additional wired inputs accept mic, line or instrument sources through a 2-band EQ. A Talkover function is on hand to duck the music for announcements.

The built-in media player module plays mp3 files from USB or SD media (US: memory card) and streams music over Bluetooth from a phone, and there is an FM tuner (US: FM radio) for picking up local stations. DSP effects add digital reverb, delay and selectable presets to your inputs. Two QOVA-12PA units can be paired using TWS Bluetooth for wider coverage. The unit ships in a transit bag with a pocket for the microphones and cables.

How long does the internal battery last?

The internal battery gives up to 8 hours of use between charges. You can also run the unit from the mains or an external 12-15Vdc supply when needed.

How many microphones are included?

Two UHF handheld microphones are supplied. There are also two wired inputs that accept mic, line or instrument sources, so you can connect further sources as needed.

Can I mount it on a speaker stand?

Yes. The cabinet has a 35mm socket on the base for pole-mounting onto a standard speaker stand when you want extra height.
